Review

This has been said to be the best martial arts film of all time, and along with fist of legend i have to agree. It is far better than 'The Matrix' which it resembles some what in the fights. The fights however are better choreographed (yeun Wo Ping) than nearly every other fighting film (apart from FOL) and it has a story so sweet, touching and sad that you feel you have seen a romance not a martial arts film. The two leading woman were the most impressive though (although Chow Yun Fat did very well.) There fights, especially against one and other, where amazing and up there with the best in history. The wire work is the best i have seen ever, the first fight in which Michelle Yeoh and the main opponent are flying across roof tops is so well done that you think that you could do it, in scene Michelle runs across a wall stops and throws a brick, this is so well don't it looks like she really done it and makes you want to run across the nearest wall (I wouldn't though if i where you!!!) This is the best film both Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat have made, and Chow's first in which he does martial arts, this said he fights very well, bettering his foes with great ease. It resembles Wong Fei Hung in the way he is both written and played (made me think that Jet would be perfect) but i have to say this is better than even OUATIC 2. Over all the best wire fu film ever and joint best, martial arts film ever 11/10
