Michelle
Yeoh is the top woman in HK action. With her amazing
style, classic beauty and her great acting ability
she is perfect for the part she was given. She
adds a great romantic touch to her part, as well
as being the more mature of the two female leads.

Zhang
Zi Yi is an up and coming HK actress, and a very
talented one at that. An accomplished dancer she
has no martial experience but still performs amazing
kung fu fights in the film. The best of which
is the bar brawl. An amazingly pretty woman, she
brings allot of romance to the film and makes
the love scenes beautiful to watch.

Chow
Yun Fat is the best know to the west of the four
leads. He made his break through with 'the replacement
killers' and since has made two other American
movies (the corrupter and Anna and the king) He
brings an amazing presence to his part, much like
Jet Li did for Wong Fei Hung. Although his part
is smaller than some of the others it is the most
important, and it is the perfect key to the American
door. His martial arts are very well done and
convincing, that being he had never picked up
a sword before 1999.)

Chang
Chen started off as a child actor and has slowly
worked his way up. He is very talented and performs
greatly in this film. He plays his role perfectly
and puts the message across that love is stronger
than class.
